What is Ho’oponopono?
Ho’oponopono originates from Hawaii. Traditionally, it was used for family and group reconciliation, forgiveness, and healing.
Ho’oponopono translates to, “to make things right” "or “to set things right".” This practice evolved over time and became a modern way for individual healing.
This can be practiced individually thanks to Mornah Simeona, a hawaiian native. Ho’oponopono is used for personal responsibility and personal accountability. This practice helps with emotional release to restore personal harmony. It focuses on healing ourselves, it promotes sovereignty, and it helps us remember our power.
Ho’oponopono has 4 phrases:
im sorry
please, forgive
thank you
i love you
This is a great practice for unresolved trauma, conflicts with oneself and others, and external worldly conflicts. This mantra when applied helps to shift the perspective and energy of a situation, conflict with a group or friend, a break up, and internal traumas.
Taking responsibility ——-> heals inner wounds———> positively affects the people and circumstances around them——>by clearing emotional data or memories subconsciously.
I use this practice during client sessions to invoke an atmosphere of healing emotional blocks, and a safety net to allow energy to be resolved and transmuted. I repeat the mantra where I feel the client needs help. It feels like an emotional sensation, of sadness, grief, heaviness when I feel intuitively to repeat the mantra. I use during reiki, and it creates a powerful healing for the client. they feel clearer, lighter, and more at peace. I love using this practice because it does not require the need to know the client’s emotional troubles, nor the conflict they are going through. I find it more helpful to allow the client to shift their own energy so that they find and resolve their own problems, by helping them shift their energy and clearing the stagnation, they can feel the change and choose a positive wiser decision for their personal matter. It also feels important to me not counseling all the time, it can repeat the same story, and just creates the same emotional patterns that the person is holding on to, making it hard for them to move forward. So, I absolutely love this practice, the best part is the client can take it home with them and implement this into their life without me. Anyone can use Ho’oponopono! I am here to remind others how to heal themselves, I use this mantra daily, and I have great results, but consistency is key. and also patience.
